A post a day

OK, so it’s only been a couple of days that we’ve had this blog, but I’m pretty pleased I’ve managed to post every day! My mother’s the writer, not me - hey Mum, wanna try and make this gibberish into a book? I might even persuade Andy to put up some recipes.

Last night we went to our neighbour’s for dinner - baked stuffed marrow and baked apple crumble - note the ‘baked’ - a real treat for us as we don’t have an oven in the summer. Kinda looking forward to the colder weather so we can get the wood stove going and have a baking session.

This morning went to Arganil market with An to get new trainers for boys whilst Andy, Michel, Paulo & Patricia made a start on picking An’s grapes. When we got home (after the obligatory trip to Lidl after market) they’d finished picking - not nearly as many grapes as they thought. So I left them finishing the pressing and came home - feeling tired today and I’m going to be careful not to overdo it, so will work on the computer this afternoon.

Bought 20 lettuce plants at market today, but I should’ve checked the planting calendar first - not planting time/leaf day until next Thursday so I could’ve got them next week. Oh well, they’ll have to go in the ground now, but will leave it until tomorrow as more favourable than today. Sometimes I wish I’d never got into biodynamic planting, was much less complicated when we just planted/harvested/etc as and when we felt like it!

Stumble it!
