getting a bit slack lately with this blogging lark …
james left for pastures new (well, the algarve) on sunday. sad to see him go and hope he’ll be back … still have to make that cob bath surround …
3 new wwoofers expected today (not on 3rd as originally planned … sorry james, you could have stayed longer and done more work!) - they phoned earlier to say they’d only made it as far as salamanca so we’ll see them much, much later tonight.
anyways, has been most enjoyable having some time to ourselves, especially with no children here.
andy’s been finishing off the vine pruning and i’ve done a bit more couch grass extermination … almost joined up with the patch that james dug now. bought two new pear trees at market the other day and one of them is destined for that patch, alongside a new veg bed.
and i’ve been slobbing around too - playing on sims 2 that andy bought me for xmas. but its soooo sloooow on my computer.
kings day today here in portugal, and to celebrate there’s a village where everyone has to smoke, even the children. how bizarre is that? tis on the news every year with film of little kids dragging on fags … oh how i love this country!
