horse riding
went horse riding this morning for the first time in about a year, at quinta do retiro.
was really good fun, a 2.5hr ride all along tracks in spectacular countryside. chris & til who run the quinta are lovely people and know their horses well, it was great to meet them and even better to get to ride with chris who is a brilliant guide and excellent horseman. went with our wwoofers, liz & katie - katie and i went for a trail ride and liz had a lesson with til which she really enjoyed and said til was a great teacher and very patient. if you get the chance do go ride with them, i highly recommend it. and if you’re thinking of moving to portugal and love horses, their place is for sale complete with horses and all equipment.
