The fruit trees are bursting out in beautiful blossom. Heres a photo of one of our plum trees:

Some of the seeds that I put in trays are coming up. Spring is certainly here, meaning its time to get busy planting seeds. These are nine star perennial broccolli that were devastated by snails under the plastic, but are being ignored now I have put them outside of the home made ‘cloche’. And a few butternut squash seedlings. Mmmmmm, we love butternuts:

And finally, all our blackcurrant and redcurrant bushes are budding and bursting. This newly planted redcurrant bush is the farthest gone, almost totally in leaf. Definitely a sign that spring is here:

Helped by Anita & Amber, last Saturday I rotovated and planted a sack of early white spuds. Yesterday we put in a sack of main crop red seed potatoes. Today it is blowing a gale, with imminent threat of rain, which I am hoping for - so I dont have to water the spuds or the rest of the garden. Its very dry, it really has not rained enough this winter, we could do with a proper downpour.
Here is Amber. I promised to make her famous! Note the glamorous gardening footwear.
