Hi Sophie & Andy, like the new look site.
I worked in the Algarve back in 1994.
I pick up languages quite quickly, so before I left I got a book from the library.
After studying for a while, I thought “no problem”, it looks just like Spanish.
When I arrived I realised the language LOOKS like Spanish, but sounds completely different !
In the Algarve everyone speaks English, so despite being there for 7 months, my lazy English brain never got much further than Obrigado.
Well done with your efforts.

Great handbook on human manure! We are building in the Serra de Monchique (Terra do Milho) and want to make use of our manure instead of washing it down the drain. Saw your lovely bathroom. Could not find an email address on your website and hope you will mail us back. We wonder which system you are using for the compost toilet. And gray water system. Wetland maybe? Hope you mail us…
