Grand-daughter Isabella was born on the quinta last night, and today the proud parents buried the placenta under an olive tree in the garden.

I’d heard of the custom of cooking and eating placenta, but not burying it, and not in Portugal. A good custom though!
i’m not sure if it’s a custom, but what else would we do with it?!
