Little Ladies who Lunch

Our weekly gathering of ex-pat Mums and Kids in the village continues and we are growing. Last Friday we met here on the quinta and had lots of fun painting and going on the new Pirate Ship Slide.

We have also started to go to Carregal do Sal to a lovely swimming pool on Wednesday afternoons if anyone wants to join us contact me for details. We might have to change our name from Little Ladies though…as we now have Luca (a month old) who is joining us and another little boy who has just moved to the area with his parents!

Thanks to everyone (about 60 people!) who came to Seedy Sunday, it was a great day and much fun was had swapping seeds and plants, talking, eating, and making music!

Obrigado a todos (cerca de 60 pessoas!) que veio para Domingo Sementeiro, foi um dia de muito divertido – troca de sementes e plantas, falar, comer, e fazer música!

Bring plants & seeds to swap, and food to share!
Trazer plantas & sementes para trocar, e comida para partilhar!

Please let us know if you can come – we’ll provide hot soup for lunch but also ask that you bring food to share. It would also be nice to have an idea of what seeds and plants people will be bringing – and if… there are any plants/seeds you would really like to find at the event!

Por favor, deixe-nos saber se você pode vir – nós vamos dar sopa quente para o almoço, mas também pedimos que você trazer comida para partilhar. Também seria bom ter uma idéia do que sementes de plantas e as pessoas estarão trazendo – e se existem plantas / sementes que você realmente gostaria de encontrar no evento!

Children are welcome and Kirsten will be here with toys, paints, and playdough!

Equine Touch / VHT

Thursday 19th November 2009

11am demonstration equine touch with horses: FREE!
Followed by hot lunch and informal question/answer session: 5 euros per person. Also possibility for video and talk on clicker training. Please let me know if you’re interested.

Come along and see what you think! Hannah can also demonstrate the technique on you, so you can see what it feels like for your horse.

Bookings will be being taken for Equine Touch for horses and VHT for riders. Hannah will visit you/your horse. Costs:
25 euros per horse or rider
40 euros for horse and rider together
