Is your place still for sale?
My husband and I are currently staying in Oliviera do Hospital, looking for community in the neighborhood. We’d consider buying one of the parcels, thereby creating a de facto community with whomever is living on the other ones.

Wow! A whole website about couch grass! We have a big heap where we compost couch grass and other “pests”, separate from the garden compost heaps

Using the dreaded Couch grass as compost is still a great debate to a lot of gardeners out there. There are those who simply don’t want to risk the chance of having the grass growing all over their lawn after being made into compost and those who claim that they have to problems with it.

Yes it is awesome!

You put a cupful of sawdust (we also use wood ash) to cover the contents after each use to keep it odour-free. It takes about a week for one person to fill the bucket. You then empty it onto the compost heap and cover with some straw (or grass, or weeds).

Looks awesome! How does it work though? Do you empty the bucket every day? Where do you put the contents? And how does it stay odor-free?
